A genuine silver 6 Groschen struck during the reign of Frederick II "The Great," King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786. Issued in 1756, this coin dates to the opening year of the Seven Years' War, a global conflict that reshaped the balance of power in Europe and beyond.

Frederick the Great is remembered as one of history's most accomplished military commanders and enlightened monarchs. His leadership transformed Prussia into one of Europe's leading powers, while his support for education, philosophy, and administrative reform helped shape the modern Prussian state. Coins from his reign circulated during a period of remarkable military achievement and political change.

This specimen was acquired directly from detectorist Marius Staszak, who personally recovered it through legal metal detecting activities in Europe. According to the finder, this coin was recovered in northern Poland in 2021. While the exact recovery location was not documented at the time of discovery, the finder identified northern Poland as the general find region.
